BERWYN, Pa.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Positive Physicians Insurance Company (PPIC), a leading medical professional liability insurer serving healthcare providers across 10 states, announced that Lewis Sharps, MD, founder of Positive Physicians Insurance Exchange in 2002 and having been a critical component of the company’s growth over the past 20 years, is stepping down from his position as Chief Executive Officer. Given his long history and experience with the company and the industry, Dr. Sharps will remain in an advisory role as Founder Emeritus with the Company. Michael G. Roque, who joined PPIC as President in 2021, will now assume the role of President and CEO, effective immediately.
